In the PADI Basic Mermaid Instructor™ course, you’ll refine your PADI Mermaid™ skills and apply them to teaching others the wonders of the underwater world. You’ll be able to teach PADI Discover Mermaid and Basic Mermaid programs. You earn a PADI Basic Mermaid Instructor rating through hard work and commitment, but you’re rewarded with a job that lets you share incredible underwater adventures with others – transforming their lives for the better and enriching yours. 

To enroll, you'll need:

• Be 18 years or older

• Hold the PADI Advanced Mermaid certification (or qualifying certification from another mermaid organization. )

• Waterskills: The ability to float comfortably and swim for a set distance without swim aids

• Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or have a qualifying certification) within the last 24 months

• Current medical statement signed by a physician within the previous 12 months
